Quinten Simon of Houston, TX was introduced to Gospel Music by his grandmother The Late “Mathelia Simon”. Quinten Simon grew up in a small town in East Texas called MT. Enterprise, TX. His parents Randy & Fairy Simon encouraged him at the age of 4 years old to take music lessons. Quinten Simon began his music career by playing the piano for his home church MT. Zion Baptist Church at the age of 4 years old. Later he attended Angelina College to further his music education. Quinten Simon is known for his anointed singing abilities & being a skillful song writer. Quinten Simon released his first album “Power In The Blood” on September, 24 2016, which led him to receive his 1st National Music Award “2018 New Artist Of The Year” from the Rhythm Of Gospel Awards in Greenville, SC. Quinten received his 2nd National Music Award as “2019 Quartet Artist Of The Year” in Baton Rouge, LA at the IRAA Award Show. Quinten has had the honor of teaching his music at the National Gospel Music Workshop Of America. Through his music journey Quinten has had the opportunity to work with such Amazing Gospel Artists around the world. He has served as Music Director for the East Texas Chapter of the “GMWA” and the Lufkin Interdenominational Choir. Quinten Simon is the Minister of Music at the Greater First Baptist Church of Houston, TX. He is an active member of the Houston Mass Choir & the National GMWA Men Council. Dr. Bobby Jones Gospel Show in Januaryof 2023. Quinten released his newest album "He Brought Me Out" on January 20, 2023. This hit song hit #1 on the Urban Influencer Gospel Chart in July of 2023. In June 2023 Quinten won the "Traditional Male Artist of the Year" at the Rhythm of Gospel Awards in Dallas, Texas. Quinten presented and performed his music at the GMWA Convention in Greensboro, N.C. And at the NCGCC in New Orleans, La. Quinten was featured in Gospel Updates Magazine in February 2023. He received the Presidential Award in June 2023. He has won the 2023 S&M Gospel Awards Traditional CD of the Year.
